Between the theaters, Highway 76 packs in a theme park, mountain coasters, museums, and more mini golf than anyone can play in one trip. Here's how locals sort them.
An 1880s Ozarks theme park built over a cave, home to record-setting coasters like Time Traveler and Outlaw Run, working craftsmen demonstrating glassblowing and blacksmithing, and seasonal festivals all year — spring, summer, Harvest Festival in the fall, and an Old Time Christmas with millions of lights. It regularly lands on national best-theme-park lists for a reason. Plan a full day, arrive at opening, and ride the big coasters first.
Marvel Cave tours are included with admission and worth the steps — it's the attraction the whole park grew out of. Check the park calendar before you go; Silver Dollar City is closed some weekdays in the shoulder seasons.
The Branson Coaster, Runaway Mountain Coaster, and a corridor of multi-level go-kart tracks (the Track Family Fun Parks are the big name) give teenagers their favorite hours of the trip. Night rides are the local move.
The Titanic Museum Attraction (you board with a passenger's name and story), the Hollywood Wax Museum, Ripley's Believe It or Not!, and the Veterans Memorial Museum cover every taste from moving to wonderfully weird.
The former Chicago Navy Pier wheel now anchors the Track 4 plaza — ride it at sunset for the best Strip view in town. Inspiration Tower at Shepherd of the Hills gives you the Ozarks-wide panorama.
Silver Dollar City's sister water park, White Water, is the big summer day: slides, a wave pool, and lazy river. In peak summer, go on a weekday and go early.
The homestead from the novel that started Branson tourism in 1907 — tours, a fish hatchery next door, a zipline canopy, and the outdoor drama in season. It's the most "Ozarks" stop in town.
The Landing's waterfront shopping and fountain shows on Lake Taneycomo, plus Dick's 5 & 10 and the old downtown shops across the tracks — the best low-key half day in Branson.
Table Rock and Taneycomo are minutes from the Strip — here's what to do on each.
